YO ZDaemon Session people,
this session we play something special. We play a new scripted gamemode:
Wrecker
This is a gamemode for ANY Zdaemon CTF or Double-domination map.
It replaces flags (and domination points) with "power cores"
which must be destroyed by the enemy team.
Just don't blow your own!
The animation above shows how it works.
4 teams would be possible, but we just start with 2 teams.
There are some good maps in ZD mega package which fits fine and are not over-played.
We also spare the BFG for the next Deathmatch session.
Thanks a lot to the author for the gamemode.
This is also a good time to introduce Rise of the Triad Skins.

Okay, I played it today and it was amazing! =)
A completely different experience from any other type, I think it should become zDaemon's official type like CTF, FFA, KOTH and so on. ;)
There are a few things I'd definitelly change though, but obviously it has a few weak points since it's a first version.
Well, first of all, I would certainly put in a "Your core is under attack" kind of thing - But that's probably pretty obvious, plus so far its jus a mod for CTF, so if it was a new type, it should be there, I think. =)
Then I would make the cores a bit bigger. I mean, they are very easy to overlook and are smaller and moer useless-looking than useless techno pillars. :D And since it would be bigger, it would have more lives. But then again, I did like how the core could be moved up and down in one of the maps, so... I don't know. It's just a suggestion.
And then, the biggest thing, which was probably planned from the start, I suppose, but is not there, the cores should NOT be damaged by the team it belongs to. It's impossible to defend.
Well, that was all just some minor changes and "bug fixes" or how to call it, but then I have a suggestion of repairing. There could be a weapon you have from the start (probably "slot" 1) and you would be able to slowly repair your own core when "shooting" at it continuously. But I don't know, it's just a suggestion, the bad thing about that would be 1v1 matches would be nearly infinite.
Anyway, that's it, and let me say again how much I love the mod and how much fun I had playing it! =) |

| i think it needs maps only for this thing. Also i think when one team score it would set both cores to 100 % , but anyway it was kinda fun , ggs |

| Interesting mod idea; but horrible gameplay. Everybody just got in the way of others and spammed projectiles. 8vs8 and beyond wad a disgusting Clusterfuck. |
