When I use Fraps with ZDaemon, it completely DESTROYS the framerate beyond the point of unplayability.
I capture Amnesia gameplays just fine at the same resolutions and capture framerate (and somehow I think Amnesia uses slightly more power).
Anyone know why this could be? |

What version of FRAPS you have? Newer versions have "Lock framerate" option where if you let it unticked, you dont get slowdown. |

Well sir...that seemed to be the problem.
I am in no way used to problems being solved that easily. It almost feels like I cheated. |

Alrights, I have a question about FRAPS as well.. And since the problem above is solved and I don't feel like creating a separate topic I'll ask it here.
Is it a good idea to use 35 FPS setting? My current version of FRAPS doesn't seem to have "lock framerate" option btw.. |

I also found that recording zdaemon then playing it back in windows media player completely screws up the playback. If that becomes a problem, then import the footage to movie maker and watch it. Also, make sure you're recording in fullscreen, it helps a bunch. |
