I think you guys should give 1monster a shot. It's a gimmick wad that only uses 1 type of monster per level, hence the name of the wad.

Some levels are a bit annoying (more for monster count than anything), and I can think of quite a few levels that'd make hilarious Pain Rotations.

PS: It's Lain, just so you're not confused as to who this 'new' person is. I just don't use the forums much.

I've updated the list of wads we've played through in the OP - it's now easier to read, and in better (alphabetical) order. Less STRAIN on the eyes.

Don't worry if your suggestion hasn't been given the limelight yet, we have lots to consider. All suggestions are helpful! Keep them coming.

Here are some 'recent' projects that could be played/tested or if they are not in a fully playable state yet at least be kept in mind for the future:
The Ultimate DOOM: No End In Sight
TNT 2: Devilution
Interception
Interception: Part II
Hellbound
Khorus
Coffee Break Episode 1
Survive In Hell
A.L.T.
Eviltech

Some SP expert better have a closer look at them to assess their 'fitness' for TNS!

How about we try some slaughter wads sometime?
Slaughterfest 2011
Combat Shock 2
Slaughterfest 2012
Not crazy stuff like coopbuild, but wads that should be playable in SP. TNS usually has so many players that sometimes one doesn't get to kill a single monster in some map, so it could be refreshing to try something that requires more teamwork and is already challenging during the first rotation.

I would also like to remind us about how awesome the Vanguard session was although the wad has 12 maps 'only'. What i'm trying to say is that one should also look for 'smaller' wads and not megawads only! MULTIPLE ROTATIONS WITH EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING PAIN :3

Rock on TNS team!

Here's another suggestion:

Whispers of Satan.

Also, for a shorter wad, which I have the first 3 maps posted on my channel, mistylear19 (Only 9 maps):

Knee Deep in Phobos.

And some ideas that I don't exactly expect to make it:

Base Invaders.

Foreign Operations.

Hell Revealed

Shogun Trogun

Oh, if Zdaemon handles .pk3's, there's a good PSX WAD out there. Does everything that was on the Playstation (quite well, too), but we'd need freelook disabled to keep the feel for it. ^.^

Hey, guys, another suggestion, if it works.

BaronOfStuff is making additions to the PSXTC or something, including 'lost levels,' like the ones that PSX Doom cut out, or something.

And even disregarding that, if PSXTC and PSXMUSTC (or was that PSXTCMUS?) both work on Zdaemon, I think we should do it. Single most faithful recreation of PSX Doom on ZDoom and such that I've seen.

----

Also, I just saw a PM on my youtube inbox for this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4TvSq5097Y

Dunno how it is, but it looks decent, and in the comments, I saw Captain Toenail's name. Perhaps we could try that, too?

We should do TNT / Evilution, given we did Plutonia some time back.

I think this one hasn't been mentioned yet: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=10513 It's an oldschool classic and the only megawad made entirely by Mac doomers. Smile

So I found this awesome wad called Stomper. - http://paul.drdteam.org/news.php?page=games It's abandoned but there are many completed levels. (you can look in the readme to see which ones are finished) We should play it!

Here's two suggestions, if you can find wads for them:

Perhaps a D64 conversion wad, if there's any.

Or better yet, a PSX Doom conversion wad. Sure, it's just Doom and Doom II rolled into one, but it has its own levels added into it as well, not to mention the ambience and new noises make it feel like (to me) an entirely different game from PC Doom.

Uhh, 3 maps is a little too few. Maybe it could be included in a compilation with some other wads.
