TDM this week and while I was pondering over what to run that was nicely obscure I realised something that surely should've been run one way or another by now:
ZOMFG Greenwar!

Sure it's not exactly unpopular but it doesn't get played as TDM enough on Zdaemon.

    Game Mode: TDM
    WADs: greenwar
    omgmus
    monster_skins_team
    gayvox

    Maps: 24 (01,03-05,07,09-12,14,15,17-23,25,27,29-32)
    DMFLAGS: 349284/131072
    Players: 10 (4on4 + 2 spectator slots)
    Teams: 2
    Timelimit: 9
    Skill: 4 - Nightmare
Teamscorelimit: 40 That's teamscore, not fraglimit!

    Date: Saturday April 18th 2009
Time: 7:30pm UK Time / 9:00 pm EST
    Locations: L@P / Unfy/NODE-3?

Now lets wait for Dewww to ejaculate all over this thread Smile

Are you sure 2 teams is enough? 3v3v3 might work Razz

Either way I'll be there, sounds great.

Yeah I did think about that but I kept some of the not-so-big maps in there too. They'd have been a bit too chaotic.
Promise next time we do TDM we'll have more than 2 teams, yeah? Wink

So I posted this nice and early and we still only have 100 views for the topic? Kinda disappointing, thought people might be a bit more enthused.

You are the funny one at home are you not? Also it's you're, and not your I think. Everybody is welcome at Zdaemon Sessions! The more, the merrier.

Europe didn't off the ground I'm afraid. Played a game 2 vs 1 and half a 1 on 1 and from that point on I was on my own again. Crying or Very sad Oh well, I was a bit late with the [L@P] server, so I guess we can partly blame it on me. At least I gained some experience points! Razz

Yeah, hopefully the American session will be more populated.

Nice pick. There were lots of good matches. Quite a few were very close and the teams were pretty even for the night. The player count definitely fluctuated but that was sort of fun because it was like playing on two different servers. Sometimes 2 vs 2 and then eight minutes later it would be 5 vs 5. Razz

the usa-side sesh was pretty sweet.. teams ballanced naturally and it was close results most of the time. i blame this awesomeness of a wad. also good job on choosing such a low score limit, the pace was fast yet enjoyable.
i'll keep civil with the ejaculations.

Every game was like 38 to 40, 39 to 40, 40 to 41, etc. It would go on like that alternating between teams, then blue took a dive into losing every game for the rest of the night by like 1 point. Arrrghgrrghh. STOP WINNING!

Like the others said then there were a whole slew of really neck & neck games in the US last night. I was just glad my headache quit so I could play at all Smile

Party Pooper of the sesh: EQ for disabling skins (because teh monsters are too scary for him)

Heh yes, we proved that 'too many cooks really do spoil the broth' as we were both trying to set up the server at the same time. But still I don't know what you were saying about corrupted settings as the config I saved as 'zds-greenwar' seemed to be fine Confused
So yeah, the European sesh seemed to be getting played out in the US. Thanks to NODE-3 for having their server up early! Although I'm curious why they left out the music replacement...

Yeah thanks for that Unfy, although we didn't use it this time. As for TT, well NoStar is not always the easiest guy to catch whereas you are and NODE-3 don't seem to need any prompting to run stuff. We're quite well covered in the US Cool
Now let's see about addressing the European server issue...
