Got any demos that crash the ZDaemon client? you could help the ZDaemon development by sending us a copy; the idea is.. if we can make the program robust enough to handle such demos, then its in-game robustness should increase as well.

For each submitted demo, we would need the wads and the zdaemon version used to record it (ideally that info should be incorporated in the demo filename). Please submit demos via speedyshare or similar; rapidshare or anything inflicting long waits or nasty ads/javascript wil be ignored.

Thanks in advance

It's the same problem as with the previous demo (so the last fix took care of it) and it looks like it's due to dropped/out of order packets. Thx again Gilgamesh and keep them coming. The more we can fix of those, the lower the probability of random client crashes in game.

Hm.... do you really see a crash? I only see an error msg (Error: corrupted demo file: too large packet) which is good IMHO. You might have missed the error msg though; you can see it by bringing down the console.

Just to be sure: I tried it on 10801, 10806, 10807 and my working (latest) version. Same results everywhere. Did you use another version perhaps?

Ah, my mistake. I see the error message now. The game also may have been played on .05. If not, then I don't know.

Can you please verify the crash using the latest RC from the #zdplayers topic? It doesn't seem to crash on me.

Yeah it didn't crash under rc25, looks like the issue was fixed. I'll do checking under the bates now. Smile
