I'm curious - do we have any Zdaemon players here from remote regions of the world? I'm talking places like Africa, Siberia, Iraq, Iran. Or really small islands like Christmas Island, or this one (the world's smallest "micronation", Sealand): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealand. Please post!

I know it's not ZDaemon but there is a Skulltag player by the name of Paladin who lives in Saudi Arabia.

ZDaemon related there is someone who lives in Dominican Republic but I forgot his name.

God I wish I could show you guys this picture of Sealand.. the worlds smallest nation and its literally like a platform in the ocean that was abandoned by England after WWII.. do a google search on it and you'll see.

Iran and Iraq are remote to me Smile

And a whole Taiwanese clan! That was a bit of a surprising one. They've got some players in China as well, if I recall correctly.

As for Sealand, this is what it looks like: Sealand. There are plenty of smaller micronations. As it stands, I think the Vatican is the smallest nation to be formally recognised with its own set of lines on the map; the British Government does not acknowledge Sealand as an independent state. (It is in international waters and thus generally not considered governed by British law, though.)

I'll speak up for the Japanese players... server-wise we're pretty remote... the closest regular ones are Taiwan. There's a couple of Korean servers from time to time, but I don't see anyone from Korea Playing

I average 150 to 200 for US servers in SanFrancisco, Dallas, and Chicago. Canada is about 200-250. UK, Germany, Russia, and Chek Republic are about 300+. For some odd reason Australia and New Zealand are up there too. Taiwan ranges between 60 and 200. When Japese servers are up it's usually 20-40, but they only seem to play co-op and d5m1 Sad
Not horrible, but playing in Europe is a little bit of a no go. We've got good connections here, fiber optic lines are pretty cheap and run everywhere. It's really good for the internet, video and music, but can't seem to get a good game connection.

Remote of course is a totally relative term.
What you see as remote is seen as local by those who are there.
In fact, they would also see you as remote if you saw them that way.
I think the title would be more aptly put as most exotic place.
Remoteness, as beauty, is strictly in the eyes of the beholder.
