Found this bug recently where the map doesn't seem to restart after the only player (playing with bots) disconnects, or goes into spectating mode.

See this screenshot of the scoreboard.

deth, Elvis, Lammah, and Revenant were bots in the game.

The console does show the message of "All players have left; restarting the map," but the bots that were in the round become spectators, and the map does not restart on its own:



Pressing F12 freezes the player's screen as if they were viewing a particular bot's view. F12 can be pressed a few times to cycle through all the bots and back to the unfrozen state (player's view). Even though the bots are shown as spectators, the player can still cycle through their views by pressing F12 (of course there is no view, the screen just gets frozen.)

Moreover, when someone connects to the server, the spectating bots suddenly get removed from the scoreboard and pressing F12 no longer cycles through their viewpoints.

That is all the information I have regarding this bug so far.

is the server configured with static bots?

When there is only 1 player in the game, 4 bots automatically join the round. They are removed when another player joins. Those are dynamic bots right?

This situation has never occurred in that server before. Maps used to restart just fine when all players leave.

hmmm, I never saw that and I have no idea how to reproduce it.
There is a server demo of the gameplay, but it stopped when the player left.

There is a gap of about 3 minutes in the logfile, but nothing usable.

Still strange what was going on there, but no chance to reproduce it.
In agreement with GreenchiL the post will be closed.

A separate case concerning bots entering spectator mode has been located and corrected for the next version.

Whether it matches up with this instance is unknown.

However if this is encountered again, would you be able to see whether the server appears to have a very low deathlimit?
