There's a tiny problem with the settings:

options -> display options -> automap style: standard AND standard automap colors.

This looks great as for the automap, but the problem is that people who use black skin are invisible in the map, making it quite problematic. Suggestion is to change the hue of the black to be slightly greyish. So, not perfect color match for the black, but at least you can see them on the map.
