If there is a named script in Loadacs it could be overwritten by the map script.
How to reproduce:
- Load both demo wads
- map01: you see a counter from Loadacs: correct
- map02: you see a message from the map script, no counter from Loadacs: not correct
Demo wads:
named_script_demo5_map.wad
named_script_demo5_loadacs.wad |

You got collision of sripts where the map scripts have a higher priority than the common scripts (in loadacs). Probably, zdaemon converts named scripts to numeric scripts without any control of such collisions.
It would be great like in zdoom: Quote: | Internally, the script name is converted to a unique negative number. |

I think this has been fixed as part of
Code: | 9. 1.10b08 release (2017-09-04)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
...
2. Extended the range of numeric ACS scripts: they can range from
1 up to 32767. Also extended the upper limit on the total number
of named scripts to 32768.

I tried loading both WADs and switching to MAP02; both the counter messages and the "map open script" message appeared to me there in 1.10b08. I 'd say this can be closed. |
