|
|
The new message shown to spectators when sv_joinlimit is in effect introduced in 1.10b08 exhibits a buggy behavior in some circumstances.
The joinlimit countdown starts when the first player joins a map which has some consequences in regards to this.
Here are some quick observations:
- If an attempt is failed *after* the joinlimit the message "no more joins until next round" stays there for the start of next attempt. Once a player joins the joinlimit countdown starts but to be able to see it you have to initially switch from your view to someone else's.
- If an attempt at a map is failed within the joinlimit the counter continues on the next attempt as if it was still the previous attempt. This persists even if the map is changed. It only stops when either a player joins the game (in which case it resets to the correct countdown) or the countdown from the previous attempt reaches zero - in which case it shows "no more joins until next round" (which is incorrect).
- Sometimes the message stays at "no more joins until next round" even after players join and it starts showing the correct time only after the first player dies. |

Krawa and I tested this and couldn't reproduce any of the problems listed. Have you saw it since? Might have to keep an eye on it during TNS. |

Fix for join limit message in Survival when a new map starts.
Message "Join limit has been reached. Please wait till the end of the round." could be shown before the timer started.
Fixed for 1.10.13. |
