Here is my finished map. Took long enough I had to add some fixes, hence the WAD name.
This map is a base on an Earth-like planet called Terra-6. You'll have to fight your way through tunnels (and make your own path!), both underground and on the surface, as well as survive a brutal resistance force inside and outside of the base. Enemies will come from drop pods, hidden in-base transports, and even the walls of the very planet. There's also a really awesome secret hiding within the planet itself, only for those who have the skills to get to it, as well as a few other lesser secrets. I'm not sure how the other maps are in terms of difficulty, but this one may have to be a later one (its map17 by default), as it's pretty tough. Health and ammo are scarce but sufficient, and some parts are quite unforgiving.
There are two textures included, one is the waterfall (wfall1-4, which is already animated I guess), and another for the super-secret area. Everything you need should be in the WAD itself! |

I really like this map, Fred! It fits the theme perfectly and it has a very fun progression. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Fantastic stuff

My map takes place on the moon, you'll fight your way through an old UAC moonbase.
One of the problems next to enemies is the sun's radiation, a very heavy solarwind has reached the moon and you really shouldn't go outside without the Radiation Shielding Suit.
It'll roast you within seconds!

Do you have a current beta? I have the second version but didn't see any updates. I just looked at my map again, and it needs finished. |

So, I have a 10 map playable demo here for you all. I've removed a few maps from the previous beta simply due to there either being too many bugs in Odamex/Zdaemon or them just being a bit too plain, even though they are all fun maps. Here's the list of included maps:

Alrighty people, just a quick update: Please have any final tweaks/edits/blah submitted by June 30th!
This project has undergone some major improvements over the last few months and I'd really like to have everything finalized and out the door well before Christmas. Send me whatever you've got before 30/6/17 so we can put the bow on this lovely package.

The story so far...
You take the role of a loose-cannon bounty hunter out for your own good. As a child, the UAC captured you and did ran various genetic experiments using you as one of their test subjects. You became stronger and faster than any normal human child, but most of the others they captured weren't so lucky. Using your newfound strength, you broke free and escaped their facility. These days you're seen as a wanted convict and must fight and steal to make your way through life. A UAC patrol squad managed to shoot down your stolen shuttlecraft and take you into custody. It's time to make your escape and get some revenge along the way!

Please note, a few maps have been slightly altered to allow for interconnect exits and entrances. This was done to improve immersion and flow when playing through the mapset.

Everyone did a pretty good job it seems. Latest beta is a huge improvement! I'll give the rundown:
-Map01 is still a bit rough in the first areas. I think if the open area only had troopers, and the tougher enemies were moved inside, it would make a big difference.
-I got an error in map03 about linedef #71 not having any sides, so might wanna delete that.
-Map06 (my own) has a few bugs it seems, as well as a couple possible improvements yet.
-Map10 is quite short on health, until the exit area. The monster closets could probably hide some to better effect.
Otherwise, I'm loving what I see! |
