So the latest version axed the playlist console command which allowed playing any music from a Winamp playlist... I'm curious why. I guess not many people used it, but it had one important advantage over regular music players: it muted the playback automatically when the user switched to other programs. |

It also would instantly impact the volume when voice chatting according to the dampening factor!
I don't use this feature either but I don't really see why it's been removed. |

I was actually using it, that's why I'm asking. It's a bit odd - the developers fixed some bugs a few releases back and now they removed the functionality altogether? :-/ |

Because it has no place in a game. I would understand it if you were talking about in-game music (eg, from a wad). But this is "outside music"; if you want that, use any of a million media players out there. Programs are not supposed to expand until they fill the universe. If you do that, you end up with zdoom
You say you don't understand how we fix bugs and removed this: the presence of such a feature inside the program was a bug in our POV; so it was removed. |
