This bug is a bit trickier than I first thought. The deal is this:
If CheckWeapon is invoked in the same tic when the player has no weapon (not even fist or pistol) the game crashes. It does not matter which weapon you check for.
CheckWeapon works only if at least one weapon is in the player's inventory at the moment of invocation.
ZDoom 2 seems to have something named "None" for this purpose. At least I get that output with GetWeapon() acs function when the pistol and fist has been taken. CheckWeapon does not recognize "None" as an equipped weapon though.
This bug was kinda hard to track down, I wondered what causes random crashes in my upcoming ACS mod. Would be nice to see it fixed. |
