This thread is place to be for all the shocked, who goes "why didn't you use pl32?!?!" and such, when they see the map list. Feel free to suggest what maps should we use in the next season and don't be shy.

As fond as I am about some of those maps, they're not for this sort of league.

I'd suggest maps with low ammo / average enemies / challenging ambushes rather than blind slaughter for TSL.

I'm happy Gyross didn't resort to picking insanely difficult survival maps for this project.

Yeah, I agree with this.

A slaughterfest can be over within a minute with one mistake, and for me, takes some of the fun value out of it.

Skepland - "An attempt to create difficult, non-linear maps in the plutonia visual style, without going the slaughterfest route.".

Exactly what you guys want. Very Happy

Just add playerstarts, im pretty sure Skep will be fine with it (if needed i can contact him for a permission), tho final release is too easy even for SP, playing it with teammate would finally tear up the already non-hard gameplay. Still could be amusable tho /!\

Player starts shouldn't be a problem at all; zdaemon is capable of spawning a shitload of players in just one spawn. I've seen that happening once.

nope, halving your ammo would spell doom for both of you and your teammate. coop always brings more waste, so you'd need larger edits than just adding playerstarts. :P

Jill91, we have one brand new map this season, courtesy of Oxyde. We'll see if players like it as much as me and Nero do!

I don't have any particular map suggestions except perhaps something from the doom/doom2 iwads but I definitely think you're better off with maps which everyone can finish. Otherwise you could end up with a round or two where perhaps only one team managed to finish the map as opposed to several teams managing to post close times and it would kinda take the competitive edge off the whole thing.

From a personal perspective, I'd love to see maybe some doom1 maps played.

Spot on. Exactly my thoughts before starting this: the goal was picking maps, which are actually very easy if you take your time running them, but challenging if you want to attack a good time.
